SUFFOLK TRAID CENTER

(Technology and Related Assistance to Individuals with Disabilities)

The Nassau/Suffolk TRAID Center has offices in both counties. TRAID is a resource and referral source for children and adults with disabilities to choose, acquire and use assistive technology appropriate for their needs. Services offered include education, community outreach, lending library and information and referral. The Lending Library features the loan of environmental controls, communication devices, toys, computer peripherals and software, and seating and positioning devices.

The New York State Office of the Advocate for the Disabled and the New York State Department of Health's Early Intervention Program fund TRAID.
