Family Forum
SPONSORSHIP & PURPOSE
This Family Support Forum was funded for start-up and on-going monitoring by LIDDSO (Long Island Developmental Disabilities Service Office) under a Family Support Services Contract. This request for funding was made by United Cerebral Palsy Association of Greater Suffolk, Inc. (UCP Suffolk) under Service Coordination who will be responsible for on-going monitoring of the site.
The purposes of the site & Forum are:
- 1. To enable family members of persons with developmental disabilities (from infancy through adulthood) to post questions & answers to each other and also to an UCP-Suffolk Service Coordinator.
- 2. To enable access to previous articles "Ask the Service Coordinator" published in UCP Suffolk's Center Post. (SC FAQ)
- 3. To enable families access to Local (Suffolk & Nassau) Resources & UCP National Parenting & Families Site featuring National Resources & Discussion Groups.
- 4. There is no cost associated with use of this site for family members and individuals with disabilities & their siblings.
- 5. This site can be used 24 hours/7 days per week. It will be monitored to assure quality & appropriateness for all two times per week by UCP Suffolk's Service Coordination staff. (See rules under Registration).
- 6. In order to assure quality and access you must REGISTER prior to using this site.
