FOR ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY SERVICES

provides
quality services to individuals needing assistive technology to
enhance the quality of their lives and increase their independence
The Center for Assistive Technology Services
(CATS) is staffed by licensed occupational, physical, and speech
therapists. All are Certified Assistive Technology Practitioners
dedicated to providing quality services to all individuals needing
assistive technology.
The philosophy of CATS is to utilize a team approach
to ensure that the optimal assistive technology is recommended.
We work with individuals from the initial consultation throughout
the selection and acquisition process. We provide training with
the recommended equipment. In addition, our professional staff acts
as a liaison between the consumer and the assistive technology supplier
and/or funding source. Our unique program assists individuals with
disabilities to achieve independence in all areas of their life
through the use of assistive technology.
Referrals are accepted from schools, physicians,
human service agencies, hospitals, government agencies, families,
and friends. Methods of payment include Medicaid, Medicare, Vocational
Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID),
